Vanessa is a Clinical Psychologist with experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families experiencing a wide range of challenges. She has a special interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Vanessa has worked with young people and families across a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, university clinics, community centres, residential settings, and private practice. She has previously worked with the Child & Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) within Northern Sydney. Vanessa completed a Bachelor of Psychology with first class honours at the University of Sydney, and a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Canberra. She holds full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Katie is a Registered Psychologist who has experience working in a variety of both public and private health settings with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. She has worked in both hospital and community settings; and is experienced in both individual therapy and group facilitation. Katie has experience working with a wide range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress management, anger management, social and behavioural difficulties, drug and alcohol, perinatal mental health, attachment issues and more. She also has experience and interest in conducting psychometric, cognitive and learning assessments. Katie completed a Bachelor of Psychology with first class honours at Macquarie University, and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the Australian Catholic University. Melinda is a Registered Psychologist with over twenty years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families, first as a teacher and then as a psychologist. Melinda has a special interest in developing warm therapeutic relationships with clients, teaching skills to better manage current stressors and empowering them to believe in and work towards positive change. Melinda has experience working with a wide range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress management, grief and loss, anger management, social and behavioural difficulties, perfectionism/procrastination and more. In addition to her clinical experience, Melinda works with a research team at Charles Sturt University. Frances is a Registered Psychologist with experience in a range of different clinical, research and policy settings. She has a strong passion for child and youth mental health, and previously managed three headspace centres in Sydney. She has also delivered extensive policy projects related to child and youth mental health for state and federal government, as well as the not-for-profit sector. Frances is currently focussing on building her expertise in clinical service delivery, and has a special interest in psychometric testing, as well as supporting children and young people experiencing depression, anxiety, and social and behavioural difficulties. Adeline is our Administration Assistant and works with us on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and is working towards becoming a Clinical Psychologist. In addition to her role at Kids in Mind Psychology, Adeline tutors students of varying ages. She has previously held a number of voluntary roles working with children through dance, singing, tutoring and nannying. Adeline has a current Working with Children's Check.
