Melinda is a Registered Psychologist with over twenty years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families, first as a teacher and then as a psychologist. Melinda has a special interest in developing warm therapeutic relationships with clients, teaching skills to better manage current stressors and empowering them to believe in and work towards positive change.
Melinda has experience working with a wide range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress management, grief and loss, anger management, social and behavioural difficulties, perfectionism/procrastination and more. She also has experience and a considerable interest in psychometric assessment, including cognitive, learning, behavioural, and personality testing.
In addition to her clinical experience, Melinda works with a research team at Charles Sturt University. Her research interests include how girls compete against one another, how boys compete against one another and how adults choose long term partners.
